I have received a number of questions about tee time systems and what systems are other courses using. Especially with the changes that are going on in this area, i.e., systems being acquired and replaced with the acquiring system.  GolfNow is mentioned a lot in this conversation. Mainly, again the question is what are other courses using and are they happy with their tee time system? And the answer can be bigger with some courses getting into total golf course management systems with tee times being a part of this solution.

I have used FORE Reservations in the past and was the best golf POS system that I have ever used.  That was purchased by Golf Now and being discontinued and forced to G1 that is not as good or user friendly but supposingly putting all their technology into to become better.  I used Course Trends for website, and they were awesome and purchased by Golf Now as well.  I use EZLinks for the simulator tee times which is the by far the best for us as we have 6 sims to make tee times vertically and easy to see/manage which has also been purchased by Golf Now.  Our reservation center, 3rd party booking engines, and credit card processing in now all Golf Now as well.  This seems convenient but scary as they own everything we have and operate.

Curious if other golf course owners/GM are having the same experience and anxiety that I am having or other solutions that you see that are working.

Hi Chad, We are using GolfNow as our electronic tee sheet company. Currently not using their credit card processing.
We do not like when any one company has a monopoly on a service like that.
    Good Luck going forward

    Chad,

We use foreup (our second year). Some ups and downs, but is a good system. What we are finding out is every system has its plus and minuses.

The problem is all golf courses have different wants and need from their tee time systems. if you want to talk about our system you can call us at 330-823-4402(Tannenhauf - talk with Kevin or Mary). My advice is write down what you need and them shop the systems.

There is also a conversation on the National Golf Course Owners Association website about this topic, Cloud Based POS Software | Accelerate General Community (ngcoa.org). It includes comments about Foreup, Tee Snap, Lightspeed, Club Caddie, and GolfNow/ExLinks.
