The goal of the Ohio Golf Course Owners Association (OGCOA) is to promote quality junior golf in Ohio. With the creation of the Buckeye Junior Tournament Series, we are not only promoting junior golf on a larger scale, but we are providing more junior golf opportunities at a lower overall cost for the young people of Ohio.

June 14th, Liberty Hills Golf Club, Bellefontaine, Ohio will be a new competition for junior golfers. The Ohio Masters Invitational will be open to all junior golfers. This fun field event will kick-off the 2008 summer golf season.

The OGCOA is pleased to announce the formation of the Buckeye Junior Golf Association for the 2008 season. The Buckeye Golf Junior Golf membership is $25 annually. Member benefits include:

• Chance to participate in the State Championship Tournament and the Bi-State Ryder Cup Championship

Applications for the Buckeye Junior Golf Tournament Series are posted on this website. Tee times for each tournament will also be posted 5 days prior to the tournament on this same website.

Participating OGCOA members will offer their own junior tournaments under the Buckeye Junior Golf Tournament Series. Buckeye Junior Golf Tournament members participating in sponsored events may have the opportunity to play in the State Championship Tournament and the Bi-State Championship.

Winners from EACH participating junior tournament will be invited to the State Championship Tournament (7/23 -24, at Foxfire Golf Club, Lockbourne, OH.). The 16 members of the “Ohio Team” will be selected from members of the Buckeye Junior Golf Association. This years Bi-State Championship will be held 8/4 – 5, at the Grove City Country Club, Grove City, PA.

The State Championship Tournament will be a 36-hole event with the first place boy and girl winners in the 16 – 18 age group receiving a $500 collage scholarship. The Bi-State Championship is a-56 hole Ryder Cup style event with the winning state taking home the traveling trophy for that year. The series is currently tied, with Ohio winning last year.

Each year tournaments fill quickly.  If your tournament is filled, you will be notified of other open tournament locations.  No refunds will be given unless the tournaments you selected are filled.  If you prefer not to register online print our registration form and mail into OGCOA.  ~ Our form will be posted soon.
